Exit out of the CNC software by pushing in the emergency stop button and then press the F10 (EXIT) key.
Move down to Setup Utility and press the Enter key.
On the next screen Units in INCH allows the technician to enter values in the parameter page in the INCH mode.
For example in the default rapid screen you can enter in 200 IPM instead of 5080MM.
On the next screen Units in MM allows the technician to enter values in the parameter page in the MM mode.
For example in the default rapid screen you can enter in 5080mm instead of 200 IPM.

Another use for MM mode is in the Resolution screen. When you need to enter in a pitch of 5mm instead of 5.08 inch pitch, this is the easiest way to enter the metric number.
