Home setup info:
Press the enter key on Home to see the next menu.
To make our system automatically home, Home required must say YES. Anilam Default is No.
Home sequence is the order in which each axis will move to find the reference mark (MARKER PULSE).
1=X, 2=Y, 3=Z, and 4=U axis.
Home type choice allows you to decide which axis will home and what direction the home feature will move.
Press the enter key on Home type a menu will appear.
No homing means this axis won’t be homed!
With positive index limit means you would need to line up predetermined marks on the axis and then press the F4 (HOME) key, the axis would turn in the positive direction and find the next marker pulse from that starting position. This is only as good as you can first line up the marks on that axis!
With positive index and vector limit means there is a switch mounted at the end of the positive direction of the axis and is wired in to the positive input on the servo control board. When you press the F4 (HOME) key the axis will move positively towards the home switch, when the switch opens the axis stops and changes direction. When the switch again closes then we look for the next maker pulse and then zero the axis display.
With negative index limit means you would need to line up predetermined marks on the axis and then press the F4 (HOME) key, the axis would turn in the negative direction and find the next marker pulse from that starting position. This is only as good as you can first line up the marks on that axis!
With negative index and vector limit means there is a switch mounted at the end of the negative direction of the axis and is wired in to the negative input on the servo control board. When you press the F4 (HOME) key the axis will move negatively towards the home switch, when the switch opens the axis stops and changes direction. When the switch again closes then we look for the next maker pulse and then zero the axis display.
After selecting which choice you want, press the enter key and that choice should now be that axes home type value.
The next choice is datum search speed, press the enter key to see your options.
The default search speed is 40 IPM. You may change any or all to what ever speed you want that specific axis to home with by press ing the enter key on the axis choice and then typing in the new speed and pressing the enter key again.
The last item is Home preset, to view the options press the enter key on that choice.
You may enter a value for any of the axis you are homing to shift the zero reference to a new location. For example lets say Z axis after homing has .05 more in the positive direction before it would hit the top limit switch. If you put .049 as an example and make the bottom choice Home Preset say ON, after the Z axis homes the display will show an extra .049 distance to 0. If you then press Z and hit the start key, Z axis should go up to 0 with out hitting the dead stop switch.
Note: if you are going to use home preset and software limits, you must first home the axis with the home preset value, then you setup the software limit. This value for home preset will shift the starting 0 point!
